Angela_Bassett
Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th 1960) was an American actress. She is known for her roles in television and in film from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt in New York New York. Bassett as well as her sister, and their mother relocated into St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. The father of the family had separated from their mom. Bassett was in high school and was a fan of John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she decided to become an actress. When she graduated at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with an undergraduate degree with a major in African American Studies, she was able to obtain a Master's Degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. She was introduced to Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1981. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading roles as Ramonda in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
